Organisatonsmake decisions on process selecton and design based on the variety in products orservices that the system need to handle, the degree of the equipment flexibility andexpected volume output. Using the 5 Performance model organisatons can beneft inproducing higher quality products and services and, operatng at low cost.i. By taking as an example a product or a service from an industry that you are familiarwith, critcally discuss the main factors that influence the manufacturing/serviceAssessment Informaton/Brief2process design.ii. Discuss how implementaton of the 5 ‘performance objectves’ – quality, speed,dependability, flexibility and cost – may assist in achieving greater productvity, lowercosts and higher quality.Please follow a report format. Therefore, you should have a ttle page, contents page, sectons andsub sectons, page numbers, appendix secton etc. Please note if you are uncertain on how topresent and structure a report then visit the university library and ask for assistance. Please do usediagrams, illustratons, tables, graphics etc. wherever these are helpful, and remember that thesedo not count towards your word limit. If you do use these, please do not put them in theappendices if they are part of your discussion. Appendices are the appropriate places to putsupportng material, however, remember if the reader is satsfed with the main points of yourdiscussion; the supportng informaton within the appendices may not even be reviewed.Please try to use theory explicitly at all stages, but do not spend too much tme describing atheory. While you must be explicit about the theories, models, techniques etc. that you use, youcan assume that the reader is familiar with them.
